Our Little Swinger
No photos this week, but our little Ms is growing fast.
On Monday she swung on a swing at the playground for the first time. This was momentous for me as I am a swing-o-holic, from the days of hours on end on my grandparents' swingset as a child, trying to touch the trees with my feet, singing at the top of my lungs, naming the squirrels, and pretending with my brother that we were Road Runner and Speedy Gonzales racing. And now to see Senna, her curly hair flying, her two-tooth grin broad, her belly laugh abundant, her little feet kicking madly with glee, on a swing, made my heart soar.
She also crawled three steps forward this morning, after her first good night's sleep all week. Why the bad sleep the other nights? Those next two teeth coming in, we thinks!
Time flies, so, even sleep-deprived, we are trying to soak in every minute.
