Senna Style

As now quite willful, almost two-year-old Senna is rarely napping (I call her my "rebel without a pause"), I've taken to giving her "quiet time" in her room (a relative term), so I can sit in the office next door for a few minutes and check a couple of emails at least in the middle of the afternoon.

Usually, she talks, sings, reads books and plays -- often her play is centered around her animals, or else her clothes. This week, after a good 30 minutes of "quiet time" I opened the door to find her carefully considering all of the items in her closet.

She had on hats, socks, necklaces, ponytail holders around her wrists -- a burst of colors...



So, I joined her with my camera as she continued to study her fabrics and such, serious as Vera Wang preparing for a celebrity wedding...



Of course, she has to try on the pieces to see how they go together...



After which she takes it for a spin around the room, on her new "big girl bed" (wall butterflies painted by Mommy)...



And the finished ensemble was a true marvel...
