November Kallan

Oh, our little dude is really changing these days, and now finally something to write about the non-talking child! Here he is on Thanksgiving day in our neighborhood. Let's see, about Kal: he's 21 pounds and tall, wearing 18-to-24-month size clothes at just-turned-10-months; sitting up solidly now, as you can see; doing some stealth scooting around the floor (not quite crawling, but I'll keep you posted when I catch him at it); also solidly standing and holding on that way for a good few minutes at a time and taking a few steps if he's leaning on legs. Got his first tooth yesterday!

Lights up when he sees Sen, and when we sing "Mr. Moon" or "Itsy Bitsy Spider" to him, and he tries to do the gestures. Wakes up happy most days. As of this week, he is now eating rice cereal and bananas, and (after some reactions and some blood/skin tests) is officially allergic to avocado, sunflower seeds and peanuts (possibly more, but let's hope not) -- this to be continued, of course, as we try more foods at a snail's pace, etc.

But, bottom line, he is becoming a little person and rounding out our little family in a lovely way.
