Stories
Senna's new favorite pastime is "stories." As in, telling stories, about everything we do. And I mean everything. There is library story, restaurant story, Creamy Crop story (going to the grocery), green light story, uh-oh story (Daddy dropped yogurt on the table), car wash story, open gym story, Daddy date story, bath story, and the list goes on (and on and on and on).
There are also some made-up fantasy stories, like the one Alex made up about two ducks sitting on a stick at the pond. It starts to move and they realize it's not a stick, it's (cue Senna) "A Big, Beautiful Alligator's Nose!!!!" And other characters we now talk about like old friends: Honeydew Lou and Get-Dressed Girl.
Every time Senna wants to hear a story (which is many, many times a day), we ask her: "How does it start?" And she answers: "One Day! Little Girl Named Senna..." And we go from there.
We try to remember all the details to repeat the stories, and if we don't, a little someone reminds us. I wonder where she gets this storytelling stuff??
